Postcards

Recently I have been going through an old box of postcards, picked up over many years of travel. One thing I noticed though, is a similarity to all of them.

This is just a small sample of an ever growing collection

Dear Simon,
All is weird here in Finkenberger. Nobody talks or moves, except the bustling photographers for knitting magazines and the distant swish-slap of the man who creosotes the sky.
Can’t complain, though -deckchair sales remain healthy, and soon I’ll have enough commission to buy some Tilsetter cheese to put around those holes I’ve been saving.
The Austrians have finally evicted Pingu & made his house into a bar. They have also successfully instated a law decreeing that anyone who disagrees with an Austian is lying. Hope you are well, are you allowed back in Crystal Palace yet?
Love, the Verger.
